Descripción de Gaetano Donizetti - Linda di Chamounix - "O luce di quest'anima" (Joan Sutherland):
This is my second upload. Of course, every opera lover knows Linda's joyful "O luce di quest'anima" from Donizetti's "Linda di Chamounix", and it seems sopranos adore it too: though the opera is rarely perforemed and there are only two recordings of this score, there are numerous versions of this aria. I heard many versions, but for me, Joan Sutherland's version is one of the best. Not only does this recording capture Sutherland's voice right after the fabled 1959 Lucia, so the singing is just breathtaking; Joan Sutherland's diction is exemplerary here, as is her interpretation.
